O Creedence Clearwater Revival possui uma sequência de discos das mais espetaculares que eu conheço. Entre a estréia com o nome da banda, lançada em 05 de julho de 1968, e seu quinto álbum, "Cosmo´s Factory", que chegou às lojas em 25 de julho de 1970, a banda liderada por John Fogerty entrou a pontapés no Olimpo do rock, registrando clássicos como "Suzie Q", "Proud Mary", "Green River" e inúmeros outros.
Esse período está devidamente coberto por este soberbo box lançado pela Fantasy em 2001. Ainda em catálogo, a caixa contém seis discos, todos devidamente remasterizados, que trazem não apenas a nata do que o Creedence gravou em sua breve carreira, mas também material do grupo pré-CCR, o The Golliwogs.
A embalagem imita uma textura de madeira, apropriadíssima para o rock rural dos irmãos Fogerty, e cada disco é dedicado a um período da carreira do grupo. Recomendo a audição dos CDs em ordem, começando no 1 e terminando no 6, pois assim você terá uma ampla visão cronológica sobre tudo de bom que John Fogerty, Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook e Doug Clifford gravaram.
Para os interessados, o box pode ser encontrado facilmente em lojas especializadas, e por um preço bem convidativo: cerca de 60 dólares. Ou seja, mãos à obra.
