Os 100 Maiores Álbuns de Rock de Todos os Tempos segundo a Classic Rock Magazine


Realizando uma pesquisa com os seus leitores, a Classic Rock Magazine publicou em outubro de 2017 uma edição especial onde listou os 100 maiores álbuns de rock de todos os tempos.

A pesquisa foi realizada nas redes sociais da publicação, que disponibilizou uma pré-lista com 200 títulos e pediu a opinião dos leitores. O resultado é bem legal e abrange de maneira coerente a proposta a que se propôs.

Algumas curiosidades: a lista contém álbuns lançados entre 1965 e 1997, abrangendo quatro décadas. A divisão se deu assim: 18 discos lançados durante os anos 1960, 53 durante os 1970, 22 na década de 1980 e 7 nos anos 1990. Houve um empate entre dois anos com o maior número de títulos presentes: tanto 1971 quanto 1976 tiveram 9 álbuns cada na lista. Na sequência vieram 1975 com 7 discos e o trio 1967, 1969 e 1973 com seis títulos cada. Entre os artistas, seis bandas são responsáveis por 24 discos presentes: Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, The Who, AC/DC, Beatles e Led Zeppelin entraram com 4 álbuns cada. Na sequência vieram Black Sabbath, David Bowie, Deep Purple e Jimi Hendrix com 3 discos cada um. Ou seja: dez artistas respondem por 36% da lista, demonstrando mais uma vez o impacto e a influências de suas obras.

  2. Isso é uma lista de verdade, feita pelos fãs, que são quem consome e ouve música. A minha lista seria, obviamente, diferente, mas essa é, sem dúvida, muito melhor e mais correta que a da revista Rolling Stone ou a do Rock And Roll Hall Of Game.

  6. Boa lista. Mas duas coisas me incomodaram: 1 - a repetição de bandas. Claro que algumas merecem ter mais de um álbum mencionado, mas em uma lista fechada em 100 posições isso limita a entrada de outras bandas que tiveram igual significância na construção do Rock n' Roll. 2 - A lista acaba (praticamente) no grunge. Como se nada depois disso tivesse peso/valor, o que induz a um pensamento purista. Muitas bandas posteriores ao grunge tiveram expressiva importância em seus respectivos momentos, sendo inclusive ícones de entrada para os filhos de tais gerações. Mas claro, são efeitos colaterais da escolha pública, algo que não se controla, em tese. Portanto respeito sim.
