Para dar sequência a essa avalanche de novidades, dia 10/11 chegou às lojas o novo box do The Doors, Live in New York, recheado com seis discos. O material abrange as quatro apresentações da banda na Big Apple, no Felt Forum, em 17 e 18 de janeiro de 1970 – todas elas na íntegra.
O local das apresentações foi uma preferência do grupo, pois o Felt Forum "tinha uma acústica muito melhor, porque foi projetado para a música". A comparação feita por John Densmore era com o Madison Square Garden, onde ele mais Robby Krieger, Ray Manzarek e Jim Morrison já haviam tocado anos antes.
A caixa será lançada pelo selo Rhino, com o preço estimado em aproximadamente 90 dólares.
