Mega box de Johnny Cash vem com 63 discos!

Essa é para quem quer conhecer, de verdade e a fundo, a obra de um dos maiores e mais influentes artistas da música norte-americana. Johnny Cash: The Complete Columbia Album Collection reúne nada mais nada menos que 63 discos do lendário compositor e cantor, figura fundamental do country.

Estão no box todos os álbuns lançados por Cash pela gravadora Columbia, em uma relação que começou em 1958 e foi até 1990. A enorme caixa chegará às lojas no próximo dia 30 de outubro e já está em pré-venda na Amazon pela bagatela de 270 dólares.

O box contém 59 álbuns originais de Johnny Cash, iniciando com The Fabulous Johnny Cash (1958) e indo até Highwayman 2 (1990). Trinta e cinco destes discos nunca haviam sido lançados antes em CD, o que confere à caixa um valor histórico enorme. Os primeiros 19 álbuns, de The Fabulous Johnny Cash a From Sea to Shining Sea (1967), estão com os mix originais em mono. O pacote vem com 8 discos ao vivo, duas trilhas sonoras - I Walk the Line (1964) e Little Fauss and Big Halsy (1970) -, e duas novas compilações exclusivas: Johnny Cash with His Hot & Blue Guitar (com 28 faixas gravadas entre 1954 e 1958, quando Cash fazia parte do cast da Sun Records) e The Singles Plus (CD duplo com 55 faixas lançadas em singles entre 1958 e 1985 e que não apareceram nos lançamentos originais da Columbia).

Acompanhando a caixa temos um livro com textos sobre cada um dos títulos do box, posições nas paradas e outros detalhes. A embalagem lembra bastante a do box The Complete Columbia Album Collection de Miles Davis, lançado em 2009.
