Geoff Tate lançará no dia 1 de dezembro o terceiro álbum de sua nova banda, a Operation: Mindcrime. O disco tem o título de The New Reality e fecha a trilogia que conta ainda com The Key (2015) e Resurrection (2016).
Ao lado do vocalista estão os guitarristas Kelly Gray e Scott Moughton, o tecladista Randy Gane, o baixista John Moyer (Disturbed, Adrenaline Mob) e os bateristas Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne) e Simon Wright (AC/DC, Dio).
Segundo Tate, a trilogia apresentada nestes álbuns é inspirada em discos como Tales of Mystery and Imagination do Alan Parsons Project e nos clássicos The Dark Side of the Moon e The Wall, do Pink Floyd.
