Box celebra o centenário de John Lee Hooker

Celebrando o centenário de John Lee Hooker (o músico comemoraria 100 anos em 31 de agosto de 2017), a Craft Recordings lançará dia 29/09 a caixa King of the Boogie. O box vem com cinco CDs com os maiores hits do bluesman, raridades e músicas ao vivo, totalizando 100 faixas.

A cereja do bolo são três músicas inéditas - “Unfriendly Woman”, “When I Lay My Burden Down” e “Meat Shakes on Her Bone”. Outro destaque é o disco cinco, dedicado exclusivamente às colaborações de Hooker com músicos como B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Canned Heat, Van Morrison, Joe Cocker, Santana, Warren Haynes e outros.

A caixa vem com um livreto de capa dura e 56 páginas com fotos e novos textos escritos pelo historiador de blues Jas Obrecht e pelo amigo e manager de Hooker, Mike Kappus.
